One of the best GMT watches of the year — Tudor Black Bay Pro

Since Tudor’s launch of Biwan GMT and Biyan 58 types, the watch industry has been seeking mixing these two concepts. In 2022, Tudor finally launched a more compact GMT watch, a 39mm Black Bay Pro professional version with a fixed bezel. At least for me, it is indeed one of the best GMT watches I have ever seen this year.

Just like the first generation of 41mm Black Bay GMT released in 2018, Tudor Black Bay Pro also draws inspiration from Rolex classic products: Rolex 1655 Explorer II. This is mainly due to the fixed 24 -hour bezel and the prominent pale yellow GMT pointer -it follows Tudor’s iconic snowflake design, not Rolex’s arrow pointer.

The shape of the Tudor Black Bay Pro is slightly retro, but it still has all the characteristics of the Tudor watch. This 39mm watch is equipped with the classic case of the series. It is made of 316L stainless steel. Most of them are brushed by polishing and sloping. The side of the case and bracelet is also polished. The crown uses a new design. The thin grooves and aluminum tubes have been replaced by classic deeper gap. It can be said that the only disadvantage is the thickness of the case. The thickness of the watch is 14.6 mm. Although the side of the flat and vertical case does highlight the height, it will not feel awkward to wear on the wrist.

It is still the classic garden arched sapphire crystal meter with a fixed steel bezel. The surface is treated with a beautiful radial drawing and a carved black filling for 24 hours. In the circle, stainless steel bezel creates a tough industrial beauty.

The black dial has an arched contour, and Tudor chose matte granular texture. There is a railway orbit on the periphery, the position of modern shields and brand names at 12 o’clock, and three lines of text at 6 o’clock, including yellow deep numbers. In addition, the time label design is also familiar, with a combination of dots, rectangles and triangles. These labels are very special and are not made of conventional metals. These are made of light -emitting three -dimensional ceramic blocks with mild cream. The 3D effect looks cool. Like several other Tudor tables, the luminous pointer and mark are beige tone.

Tudor Black Bay Pro uses the same movement as the Black Bay GMT, which is Calibre MT5652 made by long -term partner Kenissi. This automatic movement is certified by COSC Observatory and is equipped with anti -magnetic silicon. In addition, the variable inertia balance is fixed by a strong horizontal bridge. The movement is beating at a frequency of 4 Hz. Once the two -way rotor is completely chained, it can store up to 70 hours of power storage. In terms of accuracy, although the COSC standard is between -4 and 6 seconds, the Tudor table can achieve error accuracy between -2 to +4 seconds.
