As a Sonos product for portable use, Roam SL volume is very suitable, under the premise of ensuring enough excellent sound quality, the size and weight are very small, less than 170 mm in length, about 60 mm in diameter, and about 400 grams of weight, regardless of the shape and weight are equivalent to a bottle of mineral water, take out to enjoy music outdoors is very suitable, and this shape design, can be very convenient to put in the bicycle cup holder, I believe bicycle enthusiasts will like it very much.
For easier outdoor use, the front of the Roam SL is designed with a metal mask, which looks sturdy, while the left and right sides are made of silicone, which can be better protected in case of accidental dropping. In the position on the left side of the logo on the front of the speaker, a hidden indicator light is set, and the different colors of the indicator light indicate the different working states of the speaker.
The main operation buttons on the speaker are placed on the left side, which can directly control the volume and track selection on the speaker, and the power button is placed separately in the back to prevent misoperation;

The shape design of the Roam SL can also bring two different placement forms, if placed horizontally, due to the triangular design, the speaker is slightly upward, and when placed in front of the user, the sound can be heard more directly. Powerful sounds and apps
Although the Roam SL is very compact, the design of the Sonos still did not disappoint me, in this small body designed two H amplifiers, a tweeter and a mid-woofer, the real two unit design with amplifiers, unlike many Bluetooth speakers are just for a tweeter, the mid-woofer is replaced by a passive unit. The sound quality of this solid two amplifiers is very good, the small speaker can produce a sound comparable to a large volume speaker, I was really amazed when I turned on the sound, I have heard Sonos ARC and other products before, and I already know the sound quality of Sonos, but the performance of Roam SL still surprised me. Although no specific unit size data has been found, according to the actual hearing, it can at least reach the speaker hearing sensation of other brands of three-inch woofers.
In addition to the powerful hardware configuration, Sonos’ consistent intelligent system adds too much gameplay to the Roam SL. Roam SL can support WIFI, Apple AirPlay2, Bluetooth multiple ways to link. Since I am an Android phone, I mainly use WIFI and Bluetooth links. When used indoors, the WIFI link can not only bring higher sound quality transmission, but also will not be disturbed by various notification tones or calls sent by the mobile phone when listening to music, and you can enjoy music with more peace of mind.
After downloading the Sonos app, according to the prompts it is easy to link the speaker to the WIFI network through the APP, after connecting, in addition to listening to songs through mobile phones and other devices, the Sonos mobile app itself can also directly add a lot of music services, the country now mainly provides Apple Music and QQ Music, I believe that more APP will be added in the future, in addition, Sonos Radio service can listen to radio stations around the world, covering a large number of music resources, so that your music library suddenly expanded to the sky.
When you go outdoors or where there is no WIFI, Roam SL and mobile phones can seamlessly switch to Bluetooth link mode, and you can enjoy the same nature.
Roam SL supports both WIFI and Bluetooth connections, and another advantage is that it can be linked to the mobile phone through Bluetooth, and then Roam SL and other Sonos speakers in the room can be played in a team through WIFI to achieve a better listening effect.
